A health screening exercise was held for the indigent citizens of Enugwu Nanka in Anambra state. This was done for the poor people in the village who have medical challenges but can’t afford the cost. The foundation’s team of doctors saw andcounselled the patients. Various forms of diseases and illness were diagnosed. Drugs were dispensed to patients that required immediate drugs response while the severe ones were referred to the Teaching Hospital in Nnewi, Anambra state
The prevalent illnesses included malaria, typhoid fever, hypertension, diabetes, osteoarthritis, respiratory tract infections, peptic ulcers, and allergic conditions.
The drugs given out to the patients included antimalarial, antibiotics, multivitamins, anti-inflammatory, antihelminthic, antihypertensive, antipyrexial, oral hypoglycaemic agents and expectorants.
A lot of beneficiaries were happy as Alpha Foundation had always kept to their promises in getting the community checked.
